I thank God because during my time there, He used the Fulfer family and the Valbuena family to bless my life.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I will always be grateful for everything they have done for me. Growing up in Subic Bay Children&#8217;s Home helped shape who I am today.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A little background about my life growing up at Subic Bay Children\u2019s Home:<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I came to SBCHome when I was 9 years old. Before that, I stayed in an orphanage in Batangas. Unfortunately, that orphanage was shut down by the DSWD, and all the children there were returned to their families. But I didn\u2019t have a family to go back to, so I was transferred to Subic Bay Children\u2019s Home.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While growing up in SBCHome, I already felt the love of people who were not my biological parents. They truly cared for children like me\u2014those who had been abandoned by their families. Their love and care made me feel safe, accepted, and valued.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The SBCHome family also supported me by sending me to college at Bataan Peninsula State University, where I studied animal science and agriculture. While at SBCHome<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While growing up in SBCHome, I already felt the love of people who were not my biological parents. They truly cared for children like me\u2014those who had been abandoned by their families. Their love and care made me feel safe, accepted, and valued.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The SBCHome family also supported me by sending me to college at Bataan Peninsula State University, where I studied animal science and agriculture. While at SBCHome, I also learned many valuable skills, such as driving vehicles and operating heavy equipment.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p id=\"block-17ca1bde-b4e4-4188-a4d3-d278925c58cd\" class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Now, I have the privilege of teaching these skills to the kids at SBCHome, passing on what I have learned to help them as well.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p id=\"block-98c2c749-4849-4fa4-9e7a-dc81283617c5\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At SBCHome, they didn\u2019t just provide for my needs\u2014they gave me the most important thing in this world: a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I gave my life to Christ and was saved in 2015. I fully surrendered my life to Him, and I was baptized in September 2019.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p id=\"block-00796127-7ef7-479e-a78b-85aa80cc8a91\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And now, life keeps going on, and God continues to use me in our church, Subic Bay Baptist Church. I serve as a Sunday School teacher, and I am also a third-year Bible student.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/p><p id=\"block-91fb15a0-bf6e-4f1e-b522-db0f57907fba\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I truly thank God for SBCHome.
