Testimony by our supporter and former child⸻ Brother Henry!
Not everyone knows my story, but let me share a piece of my heart today.
I grew up in Subic Bay Children’s Home—a place that didn’t just give me shelter, but also shaped me into the person I am now. Dito ko unang narinig at natutunan ang Word of God, and it became my foundation in life. It was here where I learned discipline, hard work, and what it truly means to ‘work like a man’ even at a young age.

Life inside wasn’t always easy. Maraming pagsubok, maraming luha, but also countless lessons and memories that I will treasure forever. This home taught me the realities of life—that nothing is handed to you, that you have to fight for your dreams, and that faith in God will always be your greatest weapon.
And even when I wasn’t living there anymore, dala ko pa rin ang lahat ng aral at pagmamahal na natutunan ko sa loob. The people here treated us with the kind of love and care that we should have felt from our real parents—but it was only here that we truly experienced it. That’s why this place will forever be my home.
To the people who raised us, guided us, and treated us like family, salamat. Hindi matutumbasan ng kahit ano ang ginawa ninyo para sa amin. Because of this home, I carry with me not just strength and courage, but also love and gratitude that I hope to share with others.
Subic Bay Children’s Home will always be more than just a place—it’s where I found faith, hope, love, and the courage to dream big. Forever thankful and proud to have been raised there.”

Testimony by our supporter, STAFF and former child⸻ Ms. Abby!
To those who don’t know me, I am Abigail Lopez, and I am 24 years old. I am proud to say that I grew up in Subic Bay Children’s Home and was raised right by Pastor Ted, Nanay Ligaya, Pastor Odek, and Ms. Annalisa, whom we call “Mother.”
I was first brought to the orphanage in Batangas when I was just six months old. I was rescued from my abusive biological mother, who kept me padlocked in a room, leaving me only a bottle of water with sugar, and who didn’t care if I just cry all day until one day, the police heard me crying and reported it immediately to the DSWD.
The DSWD brought me to the orphanage in Batangas immediately, providing me with a safe place to stay and proper care. I am thankful for that policeman and the DSWD, who took action about my condition immediately. I hope that there are still some police and DSWD personnel who truly have hearts and care for orphaned, neglected, and abused children who are hurting and suffering, not just because they want to be known or acknowledged.
Not long ago, the orphanage where I was staying was shut down because of fabrication and false accusations by some heartless people. I was very young at that time, and I had no idea what was happening back then. I was scared and didn’t want to leave, but I had no choice. I was transferred to the Subic Bay Children’s Home along with some of the kids who came from the orphanage in Batangas.
I can still remember the day we arrived at the Children’s Home. A handsome young man with a smiley face opened the gate for us and welcomed us with open arms. I also remember that I went up to him and hugged him tight, feeling welcomed and loved already. This man was Pastor Odek Valbuena.
In the children’s home, I felt and learned what real love is. Love isn’t about material things or luxuries; it’s about people who sacrifice their lives and leave their comfortable life just to give love to children who are longing to be loved. I witnessed this firsthand from the Fulfers and the Valbuenas, seeing how they gave all their love to us the same way they gave their love to their own children. There were times when I saw them using their own money to buy us food when our funds weren’t enough. They would do anything and everything they could to provide for us. They also ate with us at the dining table like a regular family.
I know I wasn’t easy to love because I was very wicked. If you only knew how much heartache I gave to Pastor Teddy-Ligaya, Nanay Ligaya Fulfer, Pastor Odek-Annalisa Valbuena, and Mother , and yet they continued to be so loving and caring toward me like their own child. Whenever they disciplined someone, it always came from the Bible, and that’s how they disciplined us.
I am now 24 years old, and I have never experienced or seen children being used, abused, or harassed by my family. Instead, they give them love, education, attention, food, and most importantly, the Word of God. I see them as my own family, and nothing and no one will ever change the way I see them or the love I have for them.
I am now one of the house parents for the girls, teaching K4 and K5 students, going on a feeding ministry every Saturday, and serving as a teacher for beginner Sunday School.
It’s my time now to be a blessing to them, just as they’ve been a blessing to me, and to pass on what I’ve learned to the next generation of children.
Having said all that, my heart was shattered when I found out the children’s home was getting shut down due to some false accusations. I felt like I was mourning a death because that’s how I’ve been feeling until now.
The Subic Bay Children’s Home family (Fulfers, Valbuenas, staff, children, and friends) is all I have. So, please, to whoever is trying to destroy my home and family, stop doing this. Instead, just focus on how you can be a blessing to the children who need a loving home, family, and most importantly, who need Jesus, because that’s the main goal. It’s not just about having a temporary beautiful place to live in but, most importantly, getting to know Christ as their own Lord and Personal Savior so that they can be with Him forever someday. You can only do that if you have real love for God and for abandoned, abused, neglected, and orphaned children.
Testimony by our supporter, friend and family⸻ Ms. Camille!
Pray for Subic Bay Children’s Home! In May 2019, the Lord brought Axel and Angel into our lives, both of their sisters and mother were in jail and no one could care for them.

So we hopped on a bus and brought them to Subic Bay Baptist Church where they attended vacation bible school (first pic). From that day forward they have been cared for, loved, disciplined and guided at this orphanage according to biblical principles. I have known Pastor Odek Valbuena, Sister Anna, Pastor Fulfer, and the team at this institution for many years and have been a witness to their godly leadership and strict rules against abuse. This is a place that loves the Lord and Redeemer Homeless Mission (RHM) was started because of this family’s unrelenting support and encouragement that God could call a missionary like me to do the same. Now RHM houses 25 homeless children and these missionaries guide us, pray and support us amidst the incredible amount of work their ministry accomplishes. This week this orphanage found out that DSWD will be shutting them down and taking the children in the same way Pastor Fergusons ministry in pampanga were raided and about 160 kids were taken (currently he sits in jail). May I ask you to pray for them, that the children are not taken and that organizations like these that rescue abandoned and abused children feel safe in the hands of a government that makes them a priority. Let’s be honest, this is a shake down. We are awake, we see it, and the truth will prevail. If you can help or know someone that can, kindly connect me, every effort counts. We know that the mighty hand of the Father is on this family. Pray for our country, pray for this institution and be the reason a child feels safe today.

Testimony by our supporter, former STAFF, friend and family⸻ Ms. Anja!
I was once a teacher to these kids at Subic Bay Christian Academy . I personally saw how fortunate the children are to be in such a HOME Subic Bay Children’s Home .
The Founder Teddy-Ligaya Fulfer, Pastor / Director, and his wife Odek-Annalisa Valbuena , along with MY beautiful sister Hana Alecxis Valbuena-Villamiel , love these kids deeply. They dedicate their time and effort to provide these children with a loving and joyful HOME.
These kids are loved, well-fed, and well cared for. They’re not just being looked after; they’re being raised like family. We ARE family.
Testimony by our partner⸻ AMAGOH Sports Ministry!
Our hearts are heavy about the news that there’s a government agency that’s out to remove the children living inside the Subic Bay Children’s Home. This is all happening because of an allegation about abuse by an anonymous tip. A big lie that will result in children leaving a place they’ve called “home” and “family.”
We have partnered with Subic Bay Children’s Home from the start to today!

We use their resources. We use their facilities. Most of our volunteers are STAFF from Subic Bay Children’s Home.
And through partnering with them, we have NEVER witness abuse of any sort towards the children.
Our very first season of our AMAGOH SKILLZ ACADEMY back in 2021 included boys from Subic Bay Children’s Home. 95% of our players at the time were just boys from Subic Bay Children’s Home. From then on, every program and every event of AMAGOH━ the Subic Bay Children’s Home has been supportive!
The Subic Bay Children’s Home boys would always join our programs and their STAFF would also help organize and conduct our programs.
This time, it’s our turn to support them!

Testimony by our supporter, friend and family⸻ Ms. Angel!

My personal testimony about Subic Bay Children’s Home, a place that is very close to my heart.
I have known Subic Bay Children’s Home since i was a kid my best friend, Hana Alecxis Valbuena-Villamiel who first introduced me to the home. From then on, i have witnessed how much of a blessing this ministry has been to many children.

Later on, I have had the privilege of working there as a secretary for almost 4 years, which gave me the opportunity to see closely how the home being led and how the children are cared for with so much love.
The children in Subic Bay Children’s Home are truly well taken care of and deeply loved by many people. They each have their own dorms and rooms, giving them a real sense of home and belonging. Every Friday, they enjoy FAMILY NIGHT, where they can watch movies or do fun activities together, just like any family would.
They also go to school where they are able learn, grow, and prepare for their future. Every Wednesday, they attend Chapel Hour, where they hear God’s Word, learn more about the Bible, and grow in their faith in our Lord.
One of the things that touched me the most is every birthday is celebrated — the children never forgotten. The home makes sure to buy them gifts and cakes, reminding them how special and loved they are.
As a former secretary, I personally witnessed with my own eyes how blessed the children are to be in such an environment. The Founder Teddy-Ligaya Fulfer and My Pastor / Director and his wife Odek-Annalisa Valbuena pour out genuine love, care, and dedication, and together with the support of many others, the children grow up surrounded by compassion, faith, and joy.
I can sincerely say that Subic Bay Children’s Home is not just an institution, but a TRUE FAMILY. We love the kids there so, so much!

Testimony by our supporter, friend and family⸻ Pastor Noel!
I had the blessed opportunity to spend three weeks in the dorms of the Subic Bay Children’s Home as the visiting preacher for the youth camp of Subic Bay Baptist Church in 2023. My heart was filled with the marvelous joy of the Lord in the presence of such a beautifully glorious ministry.
The spirit of the children there was a life changing experience for me. Truly the presence of the Lord is in that place! To God be the glory!
“Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.” – Psalm 40:4
Testimony by our supporter, friend and family⸻ Ms. Eunice!
Yes girls, indeed. As you sing, “The God in the good times is still God in the bad times; the God of the day is still God in the night” — may these words sink deep into your hearts.
To my dear little ones,
As the third generation in our family who has witnessed the goodness of ministry of Subic Bay Children’s Home for 38 years, my heart weeps with longing for you. I have seen you find love, healing, and hope in this home. I have watched you recover, grow, and blossom into children full of faith. I will always carry in my heart the memory of your laughter, your prayers, and the warmth of your hugs. As your ate, my arms ache to hold you, but I trust that God’s arms are stronger and nearer than mine.
This Christmas, my tree will feel empty. But more than the gifts that will no longer be wrapped, it is you—your presence, your voices lifted in song, your joy—that I will miss most deeply.
My prayer is that wherever life leads you, you will continue to sing praises—in times of sadness and in times of joy. May the God who began a good work in you be faithful to carry it on, and may His hand be your comfort always.
To my friends and family reading this, I ask you to join me in prayer for these precious children. May they always feel the embrace of God’s love, even when the people who love them cannot be near. May their faith remain unshaken, and may their lives be a testimony of His grace.
With all my love and longing,
Ate

Testimony by our supporter, former teacher, friend and family⸻ Ms. Jade!
In 2009, my mom volunteered as a teacher at Subic Bay Christian Academy the school within Subic Bay Children’s Home (SBCH).
Her obedience planted a seed in me. After finishing my school at Christian Baptist Academy, I would go straight to SBCH to study ACE as a sit-in student. What started as a routine became a refuge. Subic Bay Children’s Home wasn’t just a place to learn, it became my second home.
The children were exceptional. They excelled in academics, showed remarkable talent in sports, and had imaginative minds. Yes, many were stubborn and mischievous, but they were kids, each with a story shaped by a past that wasn’t always kind. And truthfully, we all were once kids-flawed, curious, and growing. What they needed most was love, patience, and someone who believed in them. SBCH gave them that, and more grounded in the Word of God.
Over the years, SBCH became my family. I watched my ates, kuyas, and friends grow into their purpose becoming pastors, missionaries, skilled workers, teachers, cook, a mom, and more. Their lives are living proof of what grace, guidance, and unconditional love can do.
After graduating college last year, I prayed for direction. God led me back to Subic Bay Children’s Home not as a student, but as a teacher. For one school year, I had the privilege of guiding the next generation. I taught first grade and supported students across all levels. It wasn’t just teaching, it was ministry. I saw children discover their passions, build confidence, and begin to dream again.
One unforgettable moment was when our students joined a Science Fair in Bulacan. I watched them present innovative ideas, explain physics and chemistry with excitement and clarity at their young age. Their minds were bright and their hearts full of wonder. Subic Bay Children’s Home never failed to support them in everything. Yes, everything! From education, shelter, food, medication, and the most important foundation, the Word of God.
I’ve witnessed the sacrifices of many who have devoted their lives to serving these children. Their dedication is humbling and deeply inspiring. Among them, I’m especially thankful for the Fulfer family and the Valbuena family a very faithful servants whom God has used to help build and sustain this ministry. Their lives reflect the love of Christ, and through their obedience, many children have found hope, healing, and purpose. It’s not about giving credit to people, but recognizing how God works through willing hearts to accomplish His perfect plan.
Now, as I face the possibility of letting go, my heart aches. But I know this isn’t the end. The fight for hope, healing, and transformation has only just begun. We trust God’s plan. His way is perfect. And in His time, everything will unfold as it should.
To everyone who has ever loved, taught, or prayed for a child at Subic Bay Children’s Home, thank you. You are part of a legacy that continues to change lives. And to the children, please.. Never stop dreaming.. Never stop believing. You are loved, and your story is just beginning.
