Testimony by our supporter, former teacher, friend and family – Ms. Jade!

In 2009, my mom volunteered as a teacher at Subic Bay Christian Academy the school within Subic Bay Children’s Home (SBCH).

Her obedience planted a seed in me. After finishing my school at Christian Baptist Academy, I would go straight to SBCH to study ACE as a sit-in student. What started as a routine became a refuge. Subic Bay Children’s Home wasn’t just a place to learn, it became my second home.

The children were exceptional. They excelled in academics, showed remarkable talent in sports, and had imaginative minds. Yes, many were stubborn and mischievous, but they were kids, each with a story shaped by a past that wasn’t always kind. And truthfully, we all were once kids-flawed, curious, and growing. What they needed most was love, patience, and someone who believed in them. SBCH gave them that, and more grounded in the Word of God.

Over the years, SBCH became my family. I watched my ates, kuyas, and friends grow into their purpose becoming pastors, missionaries, skilled workers, teachers, cook, a mom, and more. Their lives are living proof of what grace, guidance, and unconditional love can do.

After graduating college last year, I prayed for direction. God led me back to Subic Bay Children’s Home not as a student, but as a teacher. For one school year, I had the privilege of guiding the next generation. I taught first grade and supported students across all levels. It wasn’t just teaching, it was ministry. I saw children discover their passions, build confidence, and begin to dream again.

One unforgettable moment was when our students joined a Science Fair in Bulacan. I watched them present innovative ideas, explain physics and chemistry with excitement and clarity at their young age. Their minds were bright and their hearts full of wonder. Subic Bay Children’s Home never failed to support them in everything. Yes, everything! From education, shelter, food, medication, and the most important foundation, the Word of God.

I’ve witnessed the sacrifices of many who have devoted their lives to serving these children. Their dedication is humbling and deeply inspiring. Among them, I’m especially thankful for the Fulfer family and the Valbuena family a very faithful servants whom God has used to help build and sustain this ministry. Their lives reflect the love of Christ, and through their obedience, many children have found hope, healing, and purpose. It’s not about giving credit to people, but recognizing how God works through willing hearts to accomplish His perfect plan.

Now, as I face the possibility of letting go, my heart aches. But I know this isn’t the end. The fight for hope, healing, and transformation has only just begun. We trust God’s plan. His way is perfect. And in His time, everything will unfold as it should.

To everyone who has ever loved, taught, or prayed for a child at Subic Bay Children’s Home, thank you. You are part of a legacy that continues to change lives. And to the children, please.. Never stop dreaming.. Never stop believing. You are loved, and your story is just beginning.
